Baby doll, when it comes to a Lover [Fest] - don't say we didn't (say we didn't) warn ya.

Taylor Swift has an update. Yes, she's broken her silence on "what's up" with her upcoming tour. Unlike past/more traditional touring plans, Swift's summer schedule in support of last year's 'Lover' was slated to be slightly different.

"I want to go to some places I haven't been, and play festivals for the first time in ages," she wrote in a tour announcement last fall. "And where we didn't have festivals, we made some."

We really don't know what to call this summer spree of Swift's as it was never really given a name to begin with. A month after the August 2019 release of 'Lover,' she posted a graphic list of a 12-date concert run to kick off this summer.

The first seven shows were headlining gigs at major Europen festivals. Its eight was to be her first Brazilian appearance since 2012, which was a one-off 'showcase' separate from that of her then-current 'RED Tour.' We're using the word was - past tense - for this reason...

Three of the seven aforementioned events announced a mixture of cancelations and postponements in recent weeks. All in their respective statements, the UK's Glastonbury Festival and BTS Hyde Park were joined by Denmark's Rosklide Festival to indirectly put a wrench in Swift's plans. The singer never made mention of this herself, but the events page of her website was quietly updated to reflect the change.

It was then only a matter of time before Swift's highly anticipated 'Lover Fest' events had to be addressed - her original, two-day festivals scheduled to hit both the United States' east and west coasts. Scroll to see what she finally said on Friday night.

"Fighting COVID-19 is an unprecedented challenge for our global community and the safety and wellbeing of fans should always be the top priority," an April 17th statement began. It appears to have been written by Swift's team.

"Health organizations and governments around the world have strongly discouraged large public gatherings for an undetermined period of time. With many events throughout the world already canceled, and upon direction from health officials in an effort to keep fans safe and help prevent the spread of COVID-19, sadly the decision has been made to cancel all Taylor Swift live appearances and performances this year."

After the statement detailed refund information, Swift attached her personal thoughts on the matter.

(Not) 'The End Of All The Endings!'

"I'm so sad I won't be able to see you guys in concert this year, but I know this is the right decision. Please, please stay healthy and safe," the Friday tweet read. "I'll see you on stage as soon as I can but right now what's important is committing to this quarantine, for the sake of all of us."

Swift was one Hollywood's earliest responders to address the situation's seriousness with their fans. To us, it was also a bit concerning that the home of the LA 'Lover Fest' shows is still under construction recently, and that one of its laborers had contracted COVID-19 in the process!

But, you can still catch Taylor Swift perform TONIGHT on Lady Gaga's 'One World: Together At Home' benefit show - details after the jump!
